Role Responsibility
Responsibility and Duties
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Head Pastry Chef, the Assistant Pastry Chef will assist in the preparation and service of all sections within the Bakery, as well as assisting the Kitchen Brigade within the main Kitchen.
* Supports the Head Pastry Chef to ensure that all food items for the business are prepared and served on time and meet quality and quantity standards.
* Support the kitchen team to maintain the cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators, freezers, kitchens, food preparation areas and completes all due diligence paperwork.
* Support the kitchen in minimizing spoilage and waste, ensuring that produce is stored correctly, portion control is adhered to and any waste is recorded.
* Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all team members and clients
* Communicating effectively to team members.
* To be aware of all legislation that is relevant to your work and ensure that all legal requirement are met including: Licensing, Health and Safety at Work, COSHH, Environmental Health, Fire Precautions and any others.
* Adherence to the all Policies and procedures.

Sodexo are looking to recruit a number of chefs to work on event days at the M&S Bank Arena, Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre
To provide the provision and delivery of food items under the supervision of the Head Chef To ensure the highest level of food production and delivery to guest throughout the venue. To be passionate about food, to be innovative, and enjoy working in a busy and demanding environment. The employee must have achieved food safety level 2. This candidate must also be able to work closely with the operations team to deliver the events.
