Gleeson has partnered with a Transport and Warehousing business seeking a Transport Manager. This professional should have a proven track record in compliance and delivering cost savings to the overall operation.
Job Title: Transport Manager
Location: Lancaster
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
Duties:
1. Lead daily haulage operations, ensuring compliance with legal, industry, and health & safety standards.
2. Provide strong leadership to cross-functional teams, including drivers and transport office staff.
3. Maintain excellent relationships with customers, ensuring consistent service and proactive communication.
4. Drive P&L accountability, aligning resources with operational and financial goals.
5. Lead, mentor, and develop team members across all levels to foster a high-performance culture.
6. Ensure adherence to DVSA guidelines, O-Licence conditions, tachograph usage, and working time regulations.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in Transport & Operations Management
* Experience in Transport Compliance
* Staff Management, Route Planning, Cost Saving
* CPC Certification (required)
