SEN Teacher – Secondary SEN School (Burnley)
Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity
We are currently recruiting an SEN Teacher on behalf of a Secondary SEN School in Burnley. This is a full-time, long-term role offering an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive specialist provision.
Key Details:
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
(Wednesday until 4:30pm for staff meeting)
* Pay: Dependent on skills and experience
* Contract: Full-time, long-term
About the School:
The school supports learners aged 11–19 with generic learning difficulties. The provision offers a structured, nurturing environment where pupils are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Staff work collaboratively to deliver personalised learning and positive outcomes for every learner.
The Role:
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the secondary curriculum
* Meet the individual needs of learners within a specialist SEN setting
* Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
* Adapt teaching approaches to suit a range of abilities and learning styles
* Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and senior leaders
The Ideal Candidate:
* PGCE with QTS is essential
* SEN experience is desirable, but not essential
* Passion for working in a specialist SEN provision
* Flexible, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong commitment to inclusive education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
