The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Southampton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
Roles:
* HGV Class 2 days (permanent from day 1 available for this role)
* HGV Class 1 Nights
* HGV Class 2 Nights
Hours:
* Class 2 days - shifts across Monday to Sunday
* Class 1 & 2 nights - shifts across Sunday to Friday
Please note drivers must be available to work weekends within their availability
Pay Rate:
* Class 2 days - £15.09
* Class 2 nights - £16.65
* Class 1 nights - £18.50
Location:Southampton, SO16
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate / Permanent available from day one for class 2 days
The role:
Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
Drivers will be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle.
Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
40 hour workweeks for full time positions but flexible contracts are an option.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence for the relevant licence.
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
Experience on the relevant vehicle required
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
Excellent communication skills.
A safety-first mindset.
