Experienced Teaching Assistant – Full Time (KS1)
Location: Bury
£13.75 per hour
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Bury, working 1:1 with a Key Stage 1 pupil who presents with challenging behaviour.
This is a full-time position and would suit a confident, resilient and committed professional who has previously worked within a school setting and understands the expectations, pace and safeguarding requirements of a primary school environment.
The Role:
* Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil
* Supporting a child with SEN and challenging behaviour
* Implementing behaviour management strategies consistently
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
* Supporting academic progress as well as emotional regulation
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a school (essential)
* Experience supporting children with SEN
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Calm, patient and resilient approach
* Ability to build positive and professional relationships
Desirable:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
This role requires someone proactive, confident and able to maintain clear boundaries while providing nurturing support.
