Contract: Long Term to PermanentLong Term Futures are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support learning in a Year 4 class at a welcoming primary school in Northfield.
This full-time role involves supporting whole-class learning while providing targeted support to three children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will be confident using strong behaviour management strategies, de-escalation techniques and emotional regulation support to promote a calm and inclusive environment.
The Role:
Support whole-class learning in a Year 4 setting
Provide targeted support to pupils with ASD and behavioural needs
Implement behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Promote emotional regulation and positive engagement
Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive classroom
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCOThe Ideal Candidate:
Level 2/3 TA qualification (or equivalent)
Experience supporting ASD and challenging behaviour
Confident with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
Calm, resilient and proactive in the classroom
Team Teach desirable (or willingness to train)
