The Opportunity (Assistant Quantity Surveyor)
An established infrastructure contractor is seeking a Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing and upcoming projects across the civils and infrastructure sector. This is a great opportunity for someone with post-graduate experience looking to take the next step in a commercially focused role within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the commercial team in delivering infrastructure projects from pre-contract to final account.
2. Assist in the administration of NEC contracts (Options A and C preferred).
3. Preparation and management of interim valuations and applications for payment.
4. Assist in cost reporting and change control.
5. Subcontract procurement and management.
6. Support senior commercial staff with contract administration and client communication.
Requirements
7. Degree-qualified (Quantity Surveying or similar).
8. Minimum 2 years post-graduate industry experience.
9. NEC contract experience is essential.
10. Strong communication skills and a proactive, detail-driven approach.
11. Background in infrastructure or civil engineering preferred, though other sectors will be considered.
Package
12. Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
13. 21 days annual leave + bank holidays
