Offer description

At Evolve Psychology, we do things differently. Founded in 2014 by Dr Laura Powling, Evolve Psychology began with a bold aim to redefine what clinical and neurodevelopmental psychology means in practice. Laura’s vision was simple yet powerful: to bring care, connection, empathy, and clinical excellence together, with no compromise.

What started as a small practice delivering expert witness and neurodevelopmental assessments has grown into an international independent psychology and neurodevelopmental service providing services across the UK, Ireland and beyond. In the UK, we provide services through the NHS and private, specialising in a variety of pathways, including:

* NHS‑funded neurodevelopmental assessments via Right to Choose (online when clinically appropriate and in‑person)
* Private neurodevelopmental assessments (online when clinically appropriate and in‑person)
* SpLD assessments, including dyslexia and dyscalculia
* Intellectual disability assessments, including cognitive

We are clinician‑founded and clinician‑led. Our clinicians are proudly registered with HCPC, NMC, GMC and Social Work England or affiliated with the British Psychological Society. Globally, we are an award‑winning, multidisciplinary team of over 100 experts, committed to delivering high‑quality, expert services.

What sets Evolve Psychology apart?

* Expert leadership: Founded and led by Dr Laura Powling, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with 20+ years’ experience across mental health, neurodevelopmental, psychological and forensic services, bringing deep clinical insight and hands‑on leadership to everything we do.
* NHS‑accredited provider: Recognised for delivering high‑quality services regionally and nationally across the UK.
* Dedicated clinical leadership: Across all of our clinical pathways.
* Gold‑standard Assessments: We are compliant with NICE, BPS, and other national and international assessment standards.
* Access to digital tools: Supporting assessment delivery, including electronic health record systems.
* Comprehensive CPD and discipline‑specific clinical supervision.
* Person‑centred approach: We prioritise clinical quality and real impact, not speed or scale at the expense of care. Our assessments are evidence‑based, multidisciplinary, and designed to support the whole person, not just produce a diagnosis.
* Beyond assessments: Clinicians can contribute to the Evolve Inter Skills & Research Academy – developing training, shaping neuroinclusive content, or collaborating on research to raise awareness and improve support for neurodivergent individuals, educational institutions, and workplaces.
* Values‑led culture: Compassion, clarity, and integrity guide everything we do, from team interactions to family support.
* Sustainable growth: With clinics across the UK, a growing digital presence, and a multidisciplinary team of 100+ experts, Evolve is expanding with care, always keeping quality at the centre.

* Generous leave entitlement, including 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays – and a day off for your birthday.

Listen to Amanda explain what it's like to work for Evolve, and the opportunities we have to offer

Why choose us

Care and compassion

We would like to pass on our thanks to you team for all the hard work they have put into assessing Katie, covering all bases, being patient with school contact and doing their best to understand Katie and unpick her needs. It has been greatly appreciated. Communication has been great from start to finish and I would fully recommend yourselves to anyone I speak to.

Parent of client

Evolve was INCREDIBLY thorough. We both agreed that we felt that our clinicians were very 'switched on' & actually listened to our concerns as parents.

Parent of client

I cannot thank the staff enough for their thorough and person‑centred approach to assessment. The communication throughout has been brilliant and I'm very grateful that prompts were provided to the school when seeking clearer understanding of need as this helped develop a bigger picture.
