Mission of the Position
The Testing Technician performs various tests on systems, sub-assemblies, and parts to ensure units function according to specifications or to identify causes of failure. This role ensures production objectives are met while maintaining quality in a safe environment.
Functions and Responsibilities
* Tests and measurements: Prepare workstations with tools and test equipment. During tests, verify equipment operation aligns with procedures. Store and protect dismantled equipment, ensure proper assembly, and clean the workstation after testing.
* Correction of defects: Identify defect origins, resolve issues, or report to the team leader. Verify that solutions validate the tests.
* Documentation: Write reports after tests, detailing failures and anomalies. Support other departments and perform additional duties as required.
Required Professional Experience
* NVQ Level 3 / Modern Apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical discipline
* IOSH qualification or equivalent health and safety certification
* Current First Aid at Work qualification
* Technical and/or practical knowledge (valued)
