What you’ll do
This is a wide-ranging role, providing technical expertise. The SE3 role will be responsible for primary defect repair including in-service units, defect troubleshooting, defect diagnosis, work scope adherence, and defect rectification.
Reporting to the SE5, the SE3 will carry out all engineering activities, including exams, defect rectification, modifications, maintenance packages, and repairs. SE3s will work within a fixed team structure under the supervision of the SE5.
The SE3 is also responsible for in-service defect repair, liaising with external stakeholders and rail activities.
Key tasks include technical expertise, defect repair, working effectively with colleagues to meet standards and deadlines, and ensuring operational targets are met.
The experience you’ll need
To be considered, you should demonstrate the following:
* 4 years experience in an engineering discipline
* Technical Certificate in Engineering BTEC
* NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance Electrical or equivalent
* Intermediate IT skills
* Full UK driving license

Salary: £40,483 plus free rail travel, rising to £50,600 after training.
