Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Practice Clinical Pharmacist based at South HSCP.

What you will do:

We require enthusiastic, self-motivated and innovative clinical pharmacists to develop and support the delivery of the Scottish Government funded
Pharmacotherapy Service within GP practices in NHS Ayrshire & Arran. You will use and develop your clinical expertise (including independent
prescribing where applicable), working with a cohort of patients as part of a multidisciplinary practice team. Part of the role will also include ensuring
quality and cost effective prescribing within GP practices to meet NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s efficiency savings.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

The posts require clinical expertise, good communication, organisational and IT skills along with the ability to work with patients and other healthcare professionals. The posts are based in GP practices across Ayrshire. Occasionally however, you may be required to work in other areas within NHS Ayrshire & Arran. In future, in accordance with AfC Terms and conditions, you may be required to work over 7 days and/or an extended working day. The post requires full PVG Scheme membership/Disclosure Scotland. A driving licence is essential for this post. Please note that candidates new to the NHS should expect to start at the entry point of the relevant pay scale.

Hours:

Post 1 - 25.9 hours per week

Post 2 (fixed- term until August 2026) - 29.6 hours per week

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
