We are expanding our team and are seeking a Quality Inspection Team Leader to join the FormelD Operations team.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure customer containment and rework activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards, meeting or exceeding customer expectations
* Support achievement of Customer Key Project Indicators (KPIs)
* Supervise a team of permanent Quality Inspectors, temporary support staff, and adhoc team members such as Mechanics and Electricians
* Ensure all team members are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively
* Coordinate and execute quality containment and rework projects to protect OEM’s production
* Pass acceptable parts online without disrupting the customer's build
* Onboard and induct new employees according to company standards
* Train and set standards for quality inspection and reworking activities, including the use of eQCC system
* Conduct random checks and audits to ensure process adherence and quality compliance
* Create Statements of Work for reworking and inspection projects
* Ensure smooth material flow and rework parts as needed
* Utilize eQCC for data capture on all inspection and rework projects
* Liaise with OEM, customers, and suppliers (internal and external)
* Support accurate and timely timesheet submissions
* Promote waste reduction and continuous improvement
* Report and support accident prevention and follow accident procedures
* Develop relationships with internal and external customers
* Follow HR processes for employee performance and discipline issues
Requirements:
* Experience working with OEMs and suppliers in the automotive industry
* Proven experience in a similar quality inspection or leadership role
* Strong background in conducting and supporting quality audits
* Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills
* Ability to motivate and engage team members
* Customer management experience
* Good knowledge of eQCC equipment and MS Office tools
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactive attitude
* Adherence to company procedures, health and safety standards
* Valid UK or equivalent driving license; RTW in the UK without restrictions (no sponsorship provided)
