12 month fixed term contract
£38,535 per annum
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Condition Surveyor to join our Property Services team, this will involve you working across our properties in the North Devon geographical area. This is a full time role being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract.
In this agile working role, you will work as part of a team to carry out accurate stock condition surveys on our properties and produce timely and concise reports to enable repairs and investment decisions to be made. You will always deliver great customer service and provide a professional surveying service for the purpose of maintaining and improving Westward's properties to ensure our properties remain safe and compliant.
Duties include:
* undertaking technical stock condition surveys
* report on component condition and general building elements
* gathering of relevant survey information and evidence as necessary
* record data on asset management database for EPC's
* prepare schedules of condition, scope of work and defect reports
* support carbon reduction and retrofit programmes
Other duties will include damp and mould condition surveys actioning and prioritising in line with HHSRS. This role may also include working with the wider Property Services team to assist with other works as required.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Qualification in Building Technology HNC Level or equivalent trade/industry experience
* Excellent knowledge of planned works, repairs and maintenance and/or surveying of buildings
* Proficient in use of Microsoft applications
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work under pressure and be flexible to the reactive nature of the role
* Be able to, on occasion, work at height or access confined spaces for the purposes of the role
* Capable of building good working relationships and working as part of a team
