Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit a second Part-Time Trainer. In this role, you will train, induct, and deliver ongoing training to all care and office staff, ensuring compliance with our standards, policies, procedures, CQC requirements, relevant regulations, legislation, and industry best practices.
Job Description
Follow and deliver Home Instead training and induction programmes in accordance with legislation, industry best practices, company policy, and procedures. Reflect the core values of Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley. Act as an ambassador for our organisation.
Primary Duties
1. Design and expand training and development programmes based on organisational needs.
2. Deliver external training programs to stakeholders.
3. Advise Senior Management on necessary changes to training to meet legislative requirements.
4. Arrange and provide bespoke training updates for staff.
5. Assist staff with additional training support, such as NVQ/QCF/SVQ.
6. Maintain accurate training records for all staff.
7. Support in accessing training from local funding sources.
8. Contribute to Quarterly Care Professional team meetings.
9. Maintain regular contact with Care Professionals through mentorship and QA processes.
10. Support observational monitoring and spot checks as required.
11. Assist with Care Professional inductions, including observations to assess competence in line with the Care Certificate.
12. Support Care Professionals with personal development plans.
13. Review and update training content based on changes from National Office.
14. Cover care shifts as needed.
15. Participate in out-of-hours 'on call' rota and provide handovers for out-of-hours cover.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the Care Sector.
* Experience in training delivery.
* Good understanding of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Relevant teaching qualification (training can be provided).
* Level 3 Health & Social Care vocational qualification or equivalent (minimum).
* Functional Skills in Maths & English at Level 2 minimum.
