About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Site Assistant to join one of our welcoming schools in Maidenhead. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning school environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring the premises are safe, secure, and ready for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Opening and closing the school site when required
* Carrying out basic maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks
* Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are clean, safe, and well maintained
* Supporting with deliveries, furniture moves, and room setups
* Monitoring site security and reporting any issues
* Conducting basic health and safety checks
* Assisting with contractors and ensuring work is completed safely
What We're Looking For
* Previous site, caretaker, maintenance, or facilities experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
* Practical DIY and maintenance skills
* A proactive and reliable approach to work
* Good communication skills and ability to work independently
* Understanding of health and safety procedures
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
