This is an Engineer who carries out a wide range of tasks including fault finding, repair, servicing and maintenance on machinery, plant and associated equipment including powered tools and utilities. Unlike marine or aviation equipment, this role focuses specifically on land-based machinery. â¢\tYear 1: Begin with foundational tasks such as machinery inspections, guided by your line manager and mentor. \nâ¢\tYear 2: Expand your skills by diagnosing faults and performing repairs and maintenance on plant machinery. \nâ¢\tYear 3: Take on increased responsibilities, including advising on machinery repairs for customers and diagnosing complex faults. \nâ¢\tYear 4: Consolidation of learning as you move towards completing your apprenticeship. \n\n Minimum qualifications include Grade 5 or above in Scottish Highers in Maths and English, along with strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, any relevant work experience and a genuine interest in engineering and / or equipment maintenance.
