Salary: £28,000 - 40,000 per year Requirements: Proven experience in a field-based IT support or engineering role. Strong knowledge of networking hardware (firewalls, switches, access points) and protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, WiFi). Experience with structured cabling installation and testing. Good understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and support. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (including occasional overnight stays). Desirable: CompTIA Network, CompTIA A, or similar IT certifications. Desirable: Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-100/MD-101) or equivalent. Desirable: Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware). Desirable: CSCS Card. Responsibilities: Travel to client sites to install, configure, and support networking equipment, including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, computers, and display screens. Carry out structured cabling work, including running, terminating, and testing network cables (Cat5e, Cat6, fibre, etc.). Install and set up end-user devices (PCs, laptops, printers, screens) and peripherals. Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VLAN, WiFi, DHCP, DNS). Install and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, MFA, SSO). Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues on-site. Provide basic user training and handover at client sites. Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment installed, and site documentation. Ensure all work complies with health & safety and data security standards. Liaise with internal teams and third-party vendors as required. Participate in an on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support as needed.
