Leigh Academy Strood is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team and make a real difference to our students' learning experience. If you're passionate about education and eager to support both students and staff, we want to hear from you! This is a fantastic opportunity to start in as soon as possible and play a key role in ensuring that our students continue to thrive in the short-term absence of their teachers.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will help maintain excellent student behaviour and create an engaging environment where learning can continue smoothly. With cover work provided wherever possible, you'll have the support you need to guide students in their lessons. We will also consider your subject preferences to ensure you're involved in areas you're passionate about.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise students during lessons and ensure they stay on task
* Respond to general student queries and report on behaviour
* Provide feedback to teachers on student engagement and classroom dynamics
* No planning, preparation, or assessment required unless there's a long-term absence
We’re looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can quickly build positive relationships with both students and staff. Whether you're a graduate looking to explore a career in teaching or someone with prior experience in education, this role offers an invaluable opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the classroom. You’ll also have the chance to access training opportunities through our strong partnership with the Kent and Medway Training Hub, potentially offering a pathway into a teaching career.
While previous experience in education is desirable, it’s not essential full training will be provided to ensure you’re well-prepared for success.
