The Shift Manager role reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for leading all aspects of the daily shift operation in a cost-effective and productive manner. The role ensures service aligns with Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators, managing colleagues to meet customer expectations.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and manage warehousing operations for the shift, ensuring effective and accurate sortation of goods.
* Ensure all activities comply with company policies, maintaining safety and proactivity.
* Manage costs and performance of the shift.
* Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service.
* Manage performance, conduct, absence, engagement, training, and development of team members, holding them accountable to standards.
* Monitor KPIs, identify actions, and highlight areas for improvement.
* Provide shift summaries and handover records, noting any exceptions and actions taken.
Essential criteria for this role
* Previous experience in logistics or distribution industries.
