Rate of Pay: £12.21- £15.84 per hour
Summary:
The Support Worker plays a vital role in the day-to-day lives of service users and tenants. Your primary goal is to provide practical, emotional, and physical assistance that enables individuals to integrate into their communities and manage their own households. Whether its assisting with personal care, facilitating access to education, or managing safeguarding concerns, you will be the reliable support system that helps our service users thrive.
Responsibilities:
* Devise and implement individual care/support plans and risk assessments that promote independence rather than avoiding all risk.
* Assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting), medication administration, and domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
* Take active responsibility for safeguarding adults and children at risk of abuse or neglect.
* Maintain precise electronic (IT-based) and paper records regarding health, safety, and service user progress.
* Maintain a safe physical environment, adhere to infection control policies, and respond to emergencies as required.
Essentials:
* NCHA values "transferable skills" gained through paid work, volunteering, education, or personal family situations.
* Ability to communicate effectively with individuals who may have diverse needs or behavioral challenges.
* A clear understanding of how to treat people with respect, promote equality, and maintain confidentiality.
* Must adhere to current mandatory vaccination requirements for the role (or provide evidence of exemption).
* A full UK driving license
