We are seeking a Charity Fundraising Executive to join our Cash for Kids Team in South Coast and West Sussex. The role requires an ambitious self‑starter with excellent communication and organisational skills, along with previous project or event management experience.
Our Team
Cash for Kids is the in‑house charity of Bauer Media in the UK. We fundraise all year round to award grants to those most in need.
Working closely with our colleagues in both the radio and publishing divisions of Bauer, we run local fundraising teams in 23 locations across the UK and a central team in the North East.
Location & Working Arrangements
This role involves working at home, in the office, and in the field. The office is located in Segnesworth, Fareham, and the primary focus of the role is in South Coast and West Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
Building and maintaining relationships is central to everything Cash for Kids does. As a Charity Fundraising Executive you’ll:
* Assist the Charity Manager with day‑to‑day running of the charity, performing key administrative and financial tasks (banking procedures, recording all financial transactions, chasing outstanding donations) and assisting with grant applications.
* Seek new partnership opportunities with local businesses, schools, universities and community groups.
* Develop and build existing partnerships and maintain strong communication with fundraisers.
* Plan and deliver our biggest campaign of the year – Mission Christmas and Sports Challenge – challenging your organisational, logistical and relationship skills to the maximum.
* Ensure Cash for Kids remains ‘front of mind’ and an integral part of the Bauer Media business locally.
* Seek media partner and influencer partnership opportunities to raise the charity’s profile.
* Keep the local Cash for Kids website and social media platforms updated with news stories and engaging content.
* Achieve KPIs and deliver on financial targets.
What we’re looking for
* Organised, accurate and thorough with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Energetic, enthusiastic, confident with a hands‑on approach and strong work ethic.
* Able to work independently and take initiative.
* Flexible to work evenings and weekends when required.
* A team player who builds excellent working relationships internally and externally.
* Passionate with a clear vision of the unique qualities you can bring to this role.
* Holder of a current, full clean UK driving licence.
* Knowledgeable in social media platforms and able to use them effectively.
