We are currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Specialised Cardiac Radiographer, based within the Cardiac Cath Lab environment, covering EP, pacing, structural, and coronary intervention cases.
Main duties of the job
As part of this fast paced, exciting role you would be a key member of the MDT, offering life‑changing, life‑saving diagnosis and treatment to patients from London and beyond. The Cath Labs provide 24‑hour Heart Attack and Arrhythmia services via 3 call systems. The working pattern is comprised of 4 × 9.5 hr shifts per week, with optional weekend lists on staff bank.

Person Specification
* Essential:
o BSc or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography
o HCPC State Registration
* Desirable:
o Post Graduate specialist training.
* Experience – Essential:
o Demonstrable evidence of expert Cardiac Cath Lab radiographic experience.
o Experience of working with junior staff and students.
o Minimum of two years’ practical Cardiac Cath Lab Radiography experience post qualification.
* Experience – Desirable:
o Experience in perusing innovation and role development in Cardiac radiography.
o Experience in more than one hospital.
o Evidence of advanced knowledge in Cardiac Radiographic Imaging/ procedure.
* Knowledge – Essential:
o Portfolio of evidence of advanced professional development/training and education for Cardiac Radiography.
o Evidence that knowledge of Cardiac imaging techniques is up to date.
o Evidence of the ability to critically analyse Cardiac radiography practice and role development/training potential.
* Knowledge – Desirable:
o Post graduate specialist training.
* Skills – Essential:
o Excellent written communication skills
o Excellent verbal communication skills
o Advanced knowledge in a range of Cardiac Cath Lab Imaging techniques and innovations
o Demonstrate awareness of responsibility to and advocacy for patients.
o Teaching and training skills with the ability to adapt training and teaching styles in response to needs of the trainee
o Team player with enthusiasm for Cardiac radiography, with the ability to engage staff at all levels.
o PACS, RIS and CRS knowledge and experience.
o IT skills, with advanced levels of understanding of Microsoft office.
o Demonstrate enthusiasm and have the ability to motivate others.
o Ability to work under pressure whilst subject to interruption.
o Willingness to embrace new ideas and concepts.
o Very high personal and radiographic standards, with attention to detail
o Ability to use own initiative, solve problems and make decisions
o Evidence of participation in QA Programme and maintenance of agreed standards.
o Good Understanding of legislation relating to Health & Safety and Radiation Protection.
