About the Design & Technology Teacher Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and hands-on projects.
Responsibilities of the Design & Technology Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
2. Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their practical skills in Design & Technology.
3. Assess and monitor student progress in Design & Technology, providing constructive feedback and support.
4. Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum and departmental resources.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Design & Technology and incorporate new technologies into the classroom.
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Design & Technology teaching.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. A degree in Design & Technology or a related field.
3. Experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level.
4. A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
6. A passion for Design & Technology and a commitment to inspiring students.
