Job Description
To provide an efficient and effective Gas service with the ability and skills to carry out all associated works involved within the Maintenance Service.
The Gas Engineers key functions include:
1. All gas repairs and associated works.
2. Installation of new domestic gas central heating systems and fires.
3. Organising own work in conjunction with the Gas Coordinator, Supervisor and Charge hand, and decide on best methodology in the execution of such work.
4. As a representative of the Maintenance Service the Gas Engineer will ensure the Council's values are promoted in every aspect of his work, with the remit to provide a seamless high quality response to the customer’s needs.
The Gas Engineer will demonstrate high personal and professional standards, especially in respect of quality and customer service.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and / or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council. Further guidance will follow in your conditional offer of employment on how to apply. Please note you will be required to pay for the cost of this application if your salary is over £38, per annum, which will be deducted from your first pay.
