Oxford PharmaGenesis is looking for a Payroll Partner to join us. You will support our Payroll Manager with accurate and timely payroll delivery across our bi‑weekly and monthly cycles, partnering closely with our Finance Team and our external payroll provider. You could be based in either our Oxfordshire office or our Central Oxford office on a hybrid basis.
You will be responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with both legal and company requirements, identifying and resolving any payroll errors. You will maintain up‑to‑date payroll records and documentation to support audit requirements, keeping information organized and compliant with internal standards. You will run both pre‑ and post‑payroll validation checks, and prepare change reports.
In this role, you will calculate pay for new colleagues, colleagues leaving the company and any related contract changes. You will be involved in collecting, validating and inputting monthly payroll data and one‑off payments across a global workforce. In addition to processing holiday, sick, maternity and other statutory leave payments, you will ensure that all approved payments and deductions include the correct tax and national insurance contribution (NIC) calculations.
You will respond promptly to payroll queries from employees and managers, offering clear guidance and resolving issues efficiently. You will also liaise with our external payroll provider to submit data accurately and to resolve queries within required timeframes. You will support pension processes and queries, including enrolment, opt‑out processes and general pension administration.
In the Payroll Manager’s absence, you will be required to run the monthly payroll by following established procedures.
We are looking for a talented Payroll Partner who has:
* experience of UK payroll administration. An understanding of US and/or Australian payroll procedures and colleague benefits is highly desirable
* a solid understanding of PAYE, NICs, statutory payments and pensions
* strong MS Excel skills, especially reconciliations and validation checks
* exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
* the ability to work independently, maintain discretion with sensitive data and deliver to deadlines.
