We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join the Family Help Service, playing a key role in supporting children and families at an early intervention and edge‑of‑care level.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about strengths‑based practice, relationship‑based social work, and achieving positive outcomes for families through collaborative intervention.
Key Responsibilities
* Hold a complex caseload of children and families requiring targeted support
* Provide professional leadership, guidance, and reflective supervision support to Social Workers or Family Practitioners
* Undertake high‑quality assessments, plans, and reviews in line with statutory and local guidance
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies including education, health, police, and voluntary services
* Identify risks early and implement effective interventions to prevent escalation to statutory services
* Maintain clear, timely, and analytical recording in line with professional standards
* Contribute to service development and continuous improvement within the Family Help model
About You
The successful candidate will:
* Be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Have significant experience working with children, young people, and families
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of early help, child in need, and safeguarding frameworks
* Have experience supporting or mentoring other practitioners
* Be confident in multi‑agency working and decision‑making
