We are offering an exciting opportunity to move into a technical-commercial role, combining your hands-on technical knowledge with sales and customer-facing experience, where training and mentoring will be provided.
You will join a world leader in injection moulding solutions, working with a highly respected brand known for innovation in temperature control technology.
Background:
You are currently a Moulding Technician, Maintenance Technician, Field Service Technician from within the injection moulding, tooling, hot runner sector, with some technical knowledge in temperature control.
Interested in developing your career into a commercial position.
Comfortable with travelling (UK & Ireland).
Positive, professional communicator who enjoys solving problems for customers.
Organised, able to track leads and follow up on opportunities.
Role Overview:
As an Installation and Commercial Engineer you will be visiting customer sites to demonstrate and install equipment that enhances plastic processing machinery, which is not limited to injection moulding.
Your main responsibility will be to increase sales opportunities, maximizing revenue and market penetration.
This role requires manual handling, the lightest product is 59kg, requiring 2 people to manoeuvre.
You will carry out negotiations, building relationships, and develop new business.
You will be involved in product marketing and logisitics and help define strategies / product development.
Support customers technically during machinery setup, troubleshooting and product integration.
The Role:
New Business Development / Product Management:
Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
Plan calls as appropriate within the UK /Irish market to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
Research and build relationships with new clients.
Work to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
Participate in pricing and quoting the solution.
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the products unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Collaborate with the machine sales team to develop strategies for reaching sales targets
Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships
Manage a CRM system.
Management and Research:
Submit progress reports and ensure the data is accurate.
Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
Track sales against targets.
Logistics:
Manage incoming orders and the procurement of products with the parent company and oversee the delivery and if necessary, the installation of units as required
Manage unit inventory and loan / trial units accurately preparing loan agreements where necessary
