We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Manager to join our successful team at Vertu Peugeot Exeter. At Vertu Motors, we invest heavily in our people and their future. In return for your expertise, we offer an industry‑leading remuneration package including a basic salary of £35,000 with an OTE of £55,000, a company car, and an excellent range of benefits.
Role
As Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Sales team and driving the department’s performance. You will be responsible for building, presenting and managing customer deals following qualification from the Sales Executives, ensuring every customer receives clear, accurate and compliant advice. You will have a strong understanding of financial and insurance products and regulations, enabling you to present finance, insurance and value‑added products with confidence and integrity. Supporting the delivery of the Group’s controlled ActiveSales process, you will work closely with management to achieve agreed targets through hands‑on customer interaction and effective daily performance management. Your role will be central to helping customers purchase new and used vehicles alongside a range of add‑on products including finance, warranties, paint protection and insurances, while consistently delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
About You
* Previous experience in a Business Manager or Sales Management role, ideally within the automotive industry
* A strong understanding of financial and insurance product regulations
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* The ability to build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues
* A proactive, self‑motivated approach and the ability to perform well under pressure
* A customer‑centric mindset with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service
* A full and valid UK driving licence
