Business Analyst Location: Greater Manchester - 2-3 days in office

Champion engagement between IT and business departments, surfacing demand and facilitating collaboration on end-to-end processes.
Build trusted relationships with end users, representing IT at team meetings and ensuring business needs are clearly understood.
Proactively identify and interpret business needs, transforming them into actionable requirements for IT colleagues.
Challenge assumptions, outline risks and opportunities, and manage stakeholder expectations to optimise business value.
Gather, document, and translate business requirements into language that is accessible for non-technical teams.
Facilitate workshops to prioritise requirements and resolve conflicts between immediate needs and long-term objectives.
Contribute to solution evaluation, mapping impacts across systems, processes, and business rules.
Utilise business process analysis and modelling to achieve improvements, including cost/benefit assessments.
Support user acceptance testing and change implementation, assisting with procedures and user training.
To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
Proven experience delivering detailed business analysis and supporting successful project delivery.
Knowledge of Financial Services, ideally Wealth Management, Mortgages, Protection, and the IFA market.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
Expertise in root cause analysis, business process mapping, data gathering, and running user workshops.
Focus on business outcomes and collaboration, with experience breaking down organisational silos.
Highly competent in MS Word, Excel, and Visio.
Understanding of technology infrastructures, project lifecycles, and SBG’s business and services.
