Your role as a Night Duty Security Officer..
Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
Actively monitor the CCTV system and ensure to be fully compliant with the Data Protection Act regarding CCTV.
Promote safe work practices.
Maintain radio contact with the Front Desk/Night Auditor at all times.
Be proficient in obtaining witness statements, writing incident and accident reports.
Carry out administrative duties including maintaining accurate logs, records and notebooks.
Maintain and review daily activity log.
Ensure that any items being removed from the Hotel are checked, pass-outs are processed correctly, with any discrepancies referred and/or any items withheld as deemed appropriate.
Initiate investigations or where appropriate personally carry out an investigation ensuring clear, concise and accurate documentations are taken and communicated to the Assistant Security Manager and Rooms Division Manager.
