Summary
Freedom Networks is seeking a Chargehand Linesperson for a field-based role. The primary purpose of this role is to lead and work as part of a team involved in various challenging overhead line projects, constructing and replacing outdated networks. This role also offers opportunities for career development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead a team to erect poles, change transformers, and perform other overhead line work.
2. Construct, maintain, and replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.
3. Ensure all work complies with Freedom's standards, policies, and procedures.
4. Lead by example and undertake works safely as directed.
5. Participate in risk assessments before project start and review throughout.
6. Work safely at all times, adhering to safety requirements.
7. Ensure efficient work execution following procedures and safety rules.
8. Install and construct overhead electricity networks to relevant standards.
9. Report unsafe conditions or acts to your line manager.
10. Mentor and develop team members.
11. Maintain and develop personal competence according to legislative and customer requirements.
12. Work collaboratively to ensure safe and effective operations.
13. Follow SHEQ policies and safety instructions.
14. Maintain safety on site at all times.
15. Adhere to method statements and risk assessments.
16. Report SHEQ concerns to relevant teams and managers.
17. Uphold Freedom’s AIMED and TLC values.
18. Complete work to high standards.
19. Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience as a linesperson.
* Team-oriented, enthusiastic, and committed to excellence.
* Experience working on dead networks and live LV working.
* IPAF accreditation (training available).
* Full driving license.
* NRSWA Operative qualification.
* Risk-aware attitude.
* Polite and courteous interaction with the public.
