Location
Location: Nottingham, Speke, Cambridge, Gerrards Cross or Lincoln – remote working available with occasional travel to the office.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some flexibility available.

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per year plus benefits.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Building Surveyor you will support the Architecture & Building Consultancy team in delivering expert surveying services to public and private sector clients. Your role includes conducting detailed building surveys, preparing condition reports, and advising on maintenance, improvements, development or demolition. You will also provide guidance on compliance, health & safety, sustainability, planning and building regulations to ensure clients receive practical, tailored solutions.
Key Day‑to‑Day Tasks
* Conduct detailed building surveys and prepare comprehensive condition reports with practical recommendations.
* Provide expert guidance on building regulations, sustainability options and compliance requirements.
* Manage projects from inception to completion, including budget control and stakeholder engagement.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, client‑focused solutions.
* Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to business development.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
* holds an MRICS qualification and has relevant experience in building surveying across diverse sectors;
* has excellent project management skills with experience in JCT/NEC contracts;
* is passionate about delivering quality, sustainable solutions that exceed client expectations;
* builds meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients;
* is organised, detail‑oriented and can balance multiple priorities effectively.
