Senior Maintenance Engineer
Purpose of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical systems across commercial, industrial, and educational facilities in Derby. This role combines hands-on maintenance with project oversight, ensuring all systems are operating optimally, compliant with statutory standards, and supported by robust preventative strategies.
Key Accountabilities
1. Personally carry out day-to-day and planned maintenance of mechanical installations, including boilers, radiators, pumps, valves, plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, ventilation units, and plant room equipment.
2. Manage reactive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across heating, ventilation, pumps, plumbing, and other building mechanical systems.
3. Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programs, completing scheduled inspections and servicing of equipment (e.g., pipework inspections, HVAC filter changes, pump lubrication).
