About The Role

Responsible for delivering effective and efficient support services to the Auction Centre on both sale and non-sale days. Works under direction to ensure the smooth running of auction operations, while consistently providing a high standard of customer service to clients, buyers, and visitors.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Handle general enquiries at the front counter and over the telephone, ensuring all queries are dealt with promptly and escalated to the relevant manager when required.
* Support the payments team with tasks including invoicing, checking incoming bank payments, and arranging delivery for customers.
* On non-sale days, update finance clearances, contact vendors to obtain clearance letters, and maintain internal documents and spreadsheets.
* Assist with simulcast operations during sales, ensuring accurate and timely updates are provided.
* Respond to Police Notices and Parking Fines, and update the DVLA where necessary, ensuring all information provided is accurate and factual.
* Support catalogue production by ensuring all vehicle documentation is correct and pre-sale checks are completed within the vendor SLA.
* Assist with buyer registration on sale days, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
* Support the completion of private and trade vehicle entries, along with general office administration and filing.
* Provide additional support to the branch as directed to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for customers.


What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience in a customer-facing role, delivering a high standard of customer service.
* Proven customer service skills with the ability to support and assist customers effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
* Ability to handle challenging or difficult customers in a calm and professional manner.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines in a busy office environment.
