Our London HQ is home to our in-house Design team, who are inspired by the natural world, luxurious fine leathers and the remarkable women who wear our bags. Each design is then responsibly made by our family-run manufacturing partners, in the expert hands of three generations of artisan craftspeople.


We’re looking for a People Advisor to join our brilliant People Team.


This is a 12-month maternity cover opportunity where you’ll play a key role in supporting our colleagues across Retail, Service Centres and our Distribution Centre. You’ll be part of a collaborative, values-led team, helping to deliver our People strategy and ensuring our policies and practices reflect our culture.


As a generalist, you’ll be involved in everything from recruitment and employee relations to engagement, learning and development, payroll, benefits and internal communications. No two days are the same and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to get stuck in and make a real impact.


Key responsibilities:

* Provide professional advice and guidance to managers and colleagues on a wide range of employee relations matters including absence, conduct, performance, family leave, redundancy and flexible working.
* Coordinate internal recruitment activity, working closely with hiring managers to attract and retain great talent.
* Support learning and development initiatives, including performance conversations and training needs.
* Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and engaging colleague experience.
* Administer employment documentation, right to work checks, and ensure compliance with GDPR and employment legislation.
* Support monthly payroll processes, including data input and query resolution.
* Use automation and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to streamline tasks, improve efficiency and enhance the colleague experience.
* Use people data and analytics to identify trends and provide insights that inform decision-making (e.g. turnover, absence, Gender Pay Gap).
* Contribute to our colleague engagement calendar, helping to plan and deliver key moments across the year.
* Communicate clearly and creatively, translating policy and updates into engaging messages for all colleagues.
* Stay up-to-date with employment legislation, supporting policy reviews and updates.
* Get involved in ad-hoc projects and initiatives that help make Radley a Great Place to Work.


What we’re looking for:

* Experience in a generalist HR or People role, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
* Confidence in handling employee relations cases with empathy and professionalism.
* Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to engage colleagues at all levels.
* A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships.
* A curious mindset and a willingness to try your hand at anything that comes your way.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, especially in payroll and data handling.
* Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Co-Pilot).
