Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality primary care and specialist interventions within the prison Integrated Healthcare Service.
* Reception screening, emergency response, long‑term condition management and planned care (running clinics).
* Enhanced assessment and diagnostic intervention services and health promotion activities.
* Support and supervise junior team members (band 5 nurses, healthcare assistants and students).
* Coordinate day‑to‑day clinical activities and provide clinical supervision to junior staff.
* Participate in managerial and professional clinical supervision programmes, ensuring appropriate training, appraisal and annual review.
* Deputise for the Team Manager as required.
* Work positively and effectively in a difficult and often hostile environment, maintaining a professional and calm approach.
* Promote equality of opportunity and provide an environment free from workplace harassment and bullying.
* Adhere to prison standards, standing orders, circular instructions, notices to staff, health and safety policies, and all relevant material.
Qualifications and Requirements
* National Security Vetting is mandatory.
* Proof of right to work documentation.
* Proof of ID (1 photographic ID).
* Proof of address documentation.
* 5 years address history required.
* Non‑UK passport holders must provide correct right‑to‑work documents, Home Office Share code, and, if less than 5 years UK address history, a Police Certificate in English from previous residence.
* UK passport holders who have lived abroad for more than six months in the last three years must provide a certificate of good conduct or overseas police check in English.
