Junior Accountant – Devon

About the Role
The Junior Accountant will support the wider finance team with the preparation of financial information, day-to-day accounting tasks, and month-end processes. This role offers exposure to a broad range of duties and is ideal for someone studying AAT or recently qualified at Level 3/4, or a graduate with a strong interest in finance.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Processing invoices, expenses, and supplier payments
* Reconciling bank accounts and ledger balances
* Supporting month-end and year-end processes
* Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory submissions
* Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
* Supporting the finance team with ad hoc duties and reporting
* Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders as required
Requirements
About You
* Studying AAT ) or recently completed, or a finance graduate
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
* Confident user of Excel and accounting software
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
