Electrical Design Engineer (Machinery & Packaging Equipment)
* Permanent Position
* Salary up to £45,000 pa, depending on experience, plus yearly bonus
* Location: St. Neots area (Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire)
* Own transportation is required due to the company location
* Office based - Monday to Friday
We're looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturer of food processing & packaging machinery based in the St. Neots - Huntingdon - Cambridge area (Cambs / Beds).
If you enjoy designing control panels, wiring schematics and electrical systems for automated machinery - this one's for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Designing electrical schematics, wiring layouts & control panels (AutoCAD/EPLAN)
* Working alongside mechanical & software teams on PLC/HMI integration
* Ensuring compliance with IEC 60204, ISO 13849, BS7671
* Supporting testing, troubleshooting and production builds
* Working with LV (110-600V) and ELV (24V) systems
What You'll Bring:
* HNC/HND (or above) in Electrical Engineering
* Electrical design experience within machinery / automation
* AutoCAD or EPLAN proficiency
* Solid understanding of PLCs, HMIs & motor control
Desirable
* Experience with Mitsubishi, Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs
* Knowledge of industrial comms: Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, RS232/485
