What your day will look like:
* Manage on-site resources including plant, machinery, and materials, to optimise productivity and project efficiency.
* Oversee excavation, filling, and compaction operations, applying best practices and maintaining compliance with environmental and safety standards.
* Supervise a team of groundworkers and machine operatives, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of earthworks activities.
* Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and internal teams to maintain workflow and meet project timelines.
* Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety Requirements.
* Site briefings, risk assessments.
* Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
* Maintain Murphy project quality controls to help us always deliver.
* Maintain rigorous quality control and deliver work to the highest specification, ensuring project success from start to finish.
What we need from you:
* Experience on large infrastructure projects – Substation / Power / Civil / Utilities.
* CSCS
* SSSTS / SMSTS Card holder
* Strong communicator
* Strong collaborator with the ability to build solid working relationships across the team.
* Flexibility to travel and stay away from home.
* Proficiency in relevant engineering software and Microsoft suites, in particular Microsoft Excel
* Full UK driving licence.
