Overview
Applicants are invited for a substantive Consultant with a responsibility in Infectious Disease, OPAT and Microbiology at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The post encompasses both Queens Medical Centre and the City Campus of Nottingham University Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Laboratory duties and results authorisation and interpretation.
* Clinical and antibiotic advice.
* Patient consults and ward rounds.
* Multidisciplinary team participation (MDTs).
* Antimicrobial stewardship.
* Infection prevention and control.
* Clinical governance.
* Teaching and training.
* Research.
* Management of emergency and elective patients admitted under care.
Qualifications
* Accreditation in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology on the GMC specialist register.
* Within 6 months of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) date on interview day.
