Job Description
You’ll work closely with experienced early years professionals at our Finkley Weeke Nursery, gaining hands-on skills in childcare, child development, and safeguarding.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Ensure the completion of your apprenticeship with support from your mentor as needed.
* Develop and maintain an educational play framework aligned with the EYFS, supporting children to be safe and have fun.
* Observe and support children’s learning.
* Take responsibility for assigned 'key children' within pre-agreed timescales.
* Build and maintain professional relationships with team members, advisory teachers, and visiting agencies.
* Use initiative to develop and improve both the children’s experiences and the setting.
* Follow nursery procedures and policies.
* Be flexible in working practices, including domestic duties like snack preparation and cleaning.
* Participate in out-of-hours activities such as training, staff meetings, fundraising, and social events.
* Identify opportunities to utilize your skills and contribute to the nursery’s development post-apprenticeship.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
