Boots is at the forefront of community pharmacy innovation. As a Pharmacy Technician with checking capability you will lead the team to deliver trusted patient‑centred service.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about available medicines and services.
* Deliver various services depending on the store needs.
* Build strong relationships with the pharmacy team, coaching and inspiring them to deliver the highest standard of care.
* Assist with triage of patients and distribute prescription handouts.
* Take ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision‑making in the pharmacy.
* Manage operational tasks including stock replenishment, workload management, order fulfilment, receiving and handling controlled drugs while ensuring patient safety.
* Complete the Boots 6‑week Accuracy Checking Programme (or prove qualification).
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and willing to complete the 6‑week training course to become qualified to check prescriptions.
* Passion for coaching and leading a dispensary team.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Motivation to improve services for teams, customers and patients.
* A desire to deliver outstanding patient care.
* Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician with checking capability is nice but not essential.
