Job Types: Full-time, PermanentWe are looking for an energetic, inspiring teaching assistant for our successful and established attachment and trauma specialist school.
About us:
Abigail's Place is a small Ofsted registered independent special school for pupils aged 5-17 years, who because of early life experiences demonstrate behaviours that challenge adults. Many of our children have been out of education or had many failed school placements. We are an attachment focused, trauma informed, adult led environment. We want the absolute best for the children and young people in our care.

For this role, you will:
Have experience at working with children SEMHDemonstrate the ability to work in an adult led environment whilst also being able to nurture and care.Be able to think outside of the boxProvide the highest quality of education, care, and preparation for life for all students in the school.Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and behaviourHave previous experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) particularly behaviours that challengeWorking knowledge of Safeguarding & Child Protection ProceduresHave the ability to have fun and play.Understand the importance of sensory needs, structure and predictabilityBe able to work independentlyBe able to follow lessons/interventions set be a teacher.Desirable
We are also seeking candidates that have previous experience and a passion for any of the following subjects: PSHE, Horticulture, Home Cooking, Animal Skills/Land Management, Arts, Woodwork.
