Data.gov.uk is the public sector open data hub where users can search and browse for open data from across the public sector. We have an ambitious agenda to transform the way the public sector makes its data available and reusable. As a Content Designer for data.gov.uk, you'll play a key role in shaping and improving how users discover, understand and interact with public sector data. Working collaboratively in a modern agile environment, you will ensure content is clear, accessible and meets the needs of diverse audiences across the data.gov.uk platform.

As a Content Designer you’ll:

* define, design and deliver user-centred content across data.gov.uk, ensuring content is clear, usable, accessible and appropriate to user needs and context
* use evidence and insight such as analytics, user research, usability testing and feedback to inform content decisions and continuous improvement
* work iteratively in an agile environment, contributing content at all stages of the delivery lifecycle, from discovery through to live and continuous improvement
* collaborate closely with user researchers, designers, developers and product managers to ensure content supports end-to-end user journeys and service outcomes
* produce and maintain content artefacts such as user stories, content plans, prototypes and published content, using appropriate publishing tools and workflows
* apply content standards, accessibility requirements and content governance, ensuring content meets GOV.UK style, accessibility and quality expectations
* engage constructively with policy, legal and delivery stakeholders to balance user needs, organisational requirements and compliance obligations
