This contract with our central government client is for a Commercial Communities of Practice Lead for an initial 12 month contract with a potential for extension. The role is located in London, Glasgow, Manchester, York, Norwich – 3 days per week in the office.
Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
● To support the planning and preparation for the implementation of the new regime leading into work supporting the strategy, design, delivery and execution of the Communities of Practice product for the programme
● Independent responsibility to engage and develop key identified stakeholder groups across the Wider Public Sector, Central Government or Suppliers, supporting and enhancing their procurement capability
● Continuously grow, support and nurture key procurement stakeholder relationships through specific designed and developed 121, team or group workshops or programmes
● Organisation of community meetups.
● To continuously support the growing community through consistent and continuous communication with contracting authorities in order to understand user needs.
● To develop close and collaborative internal relationships with colleagues in the Commercial Policy and Learning and Development teams.
● To work with Subject Matter Experts to create community collateral
● Provide feedback, advice and input into the programme
● Maintaining up to date sector knowledge through Continuing Professional Development (CPD), demonstrating commercial awareness and applying knowledge, experience and skills effectively.
Requirements
Essential:
● Commercial and procurement background with experience in a fast-paced environment
● Knowledge of the Public Sector Procurement process.
● Stakeholder management experience
● Professional gravitas with interpersonal skills enabling rapport building with a range of stakeholders
● Ability to think on your feet and flex your style to the audience based on their learning needs
● High attention to detail and a strong desire to deliver a top-quality customer experience
● Strong organisational skills with programme delivery (planning and execution) in a range of areas
● Ability to deliver on time and to the highest quality even in ambiguous circumstances
● High level of IT skills including experience with a range of Microsoft IT packages.
