Pareto FM is seeking a skilled and proactive Building Services Engineer to join our team, supporting a portfolio of client sites across London.
This is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems, while ensuring high standards of safety, compliance and customer service.

The Role
As a Building Services Engineer, you’ll act as a key point of contact on site, supporting both the client and internal teams while ensuring all building services are maintained to a high standard.
What you’ll be doing
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across building systems
* Managing maintenance requests from start to completion, providing clear updates to clients and FM teams
* Acting as the first point of response for M&E and fabric issues
* Conducting statutory, mandatory and insurance inspections
* Maintaining accurate records across CAFM systems, logbooks and technical documentation
* Ensuring all works are completed safely, to standard and within budget
* Supporting permit to work systems and H&S processes
* Supervising and managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with RAMS
* Providing regular updates and reports to the Facilities Manager
* Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation
* Supporting a range of workplace tasks to ensure business continuity
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a Building Services Engineer / Facilities Maintenance role
* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
* Experience delivering both PPM and reactive maintenance
* Confident managing and supervising contractors and suppliers
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* A proactive, flexible and "can‑do" attitude
* Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
Desirable
* IOSH Managing Safely
* Knowledge of mechanical/plumbing systems and building construction
* Experience working in a client‑facing environment
