Job Summary
Wistaria & Milford Surgeries serves a growing population of 16,000+ patients and we are seeking a Prescriptions administrator to join our busy, friendly Team. Our Practice team are passionate about providing the highest possible care to our patients.
You will need to have excellent administration and IT skills including excel. Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with patients from a wide range of backgrounds. Be approachable, caring, dedicated, reliable and demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
Duties
To support Pharmacy Technicians, Clinical Pharmacists and GPs and the wider Practice Team.
The successful candidate will:
* Process repeat prescription requests, in accordance with practice protocol
* Produce prescriptions for the GP to sign in an acceptable timeframe
* Ensure all prescription requests are processed and are ready for collection within a 48-hour timeframe
* Generate requests for medication on behalf of the patient for non-repeat items
* Discuss with patients their requirements, encouraging patients to order only what they require
* Recalls and Review letters
* Raising blood forms and blood monitoring
* Effectively liaise with external services
* Always maintain accurate records
* Deal with all prescription related enquiries in a timely manner
* Data input onto the clinical IT system
* Always maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Support the Practice Manager and members of the Medication team.
* There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels
Requirements
* Previous office experience is essential, with a focus on administrative roles.
* Proficient computer skills
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail.
* Previous clerical experience will be beneficial. If you are a motivated individual.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.36-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 37 per week
