Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire Salary: £93 - £120 per day (Depending on experience) Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner) Make a Difference Every Day! GSL Education Hull is currently seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work in welcoming and inclusive schools across Hull and the East Riding. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. The Role as Learning Support Assistant: Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to promote engagement and progress. Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences. Encourage positive behaviour and support students with social and emotional development. Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers. The Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will: Have previous experience working with children or young people in an educational, care, youth work, or support setting. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience. Have a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs. Be adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a team. Hold an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
