Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and eager to gain hands-on experience in a nursery setting. As an Apprentice, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. You will work closely with experienced practitioners to develop your skills in childcare management and leadership.
Duties
* Assist in planning and implementing educational activities that promote children's development and learning.
* Support the daily care routines of children, including feeding, changing, and supervising playtime.
* Foster positive relationships with children and their families, ensuring effective communication at all times.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.
* Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your knowledge of early childhood education practices.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging learning experiences tailored to the needs of each child.
* Document children's progress and contribute to assessments as required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for childcare is key.
* A background in early childhood education or nursery experience is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
* Demonstrated leadership potential and management skills are beneficial for career progression within the nursery setting.
