This job is based at the Flotta Terminal on a Monday to Friday rotation.
JOB TITLE: SITE LIFTING FOCAL POINT.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure all Lifting Operations on site are carried out in accordance with RSRUK Standard for Lifting Operations HSE-PRO-TLM-128 & ENG-STM-TLM-005.
2. Coordinate and carry out safe and efficient logistics and support services on site in compliance with all relevant legislation.
3. This position will be employed on a Monday to Friday basis, although some flexible working may be required.
4. Supervise site rigging operations, allocate and manage daily work schedules, and support with any issues.
5. Ensure all lifting operations on sites and offshore are conducted according to group standard lifting and hoisting procedures.
6. Review and approve all lifting plans and risk assessments.
7. Act as the lifting technical authority on site and develop effective lifting plans.
8. Determine appropriate supervision levels for complex lifts in conjunction with Site Management.
9. Ensure all personnel involved in lifting meet RSRUK competence standards.
10. Verify that all lifting equipment used is fully certified and compliant with company standards.
11. Conduct audits on lifting operations to ensure compliance with standards.
12. Ensure safe operation of Lifting & Rigging Equipment within their design parameters.
13. Oversee crane and deck operations, including equipment placement.
14. Monitor and control process plant and utility systems safely and efficiently, complying with statutory requirements.
15. Maintain comprehensive records and logs, and ensure effective handovers at shift and crew changes.
16. Identify and propose ideas to increase efficiency in cost or time without compromising integrity.
17. Support team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
18. Participate in PFM competence scheme and multi-skilled roles as per the competence framework.
19. Adopt a flexible working attitude to support all departments for team success.
20. Build and maintain effective working relationships and minimize interpersonal conflicts.
21. Maintain effective communication at all levels.
22. Demonstrate understanding of relevant legislation and apply it in the workplace.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1. Working at Height Unit 2 - PPE User.
2. OPITO Rigger Competence Stage 3 / 4.
3. OPITO Banksman and Slinger Stage 3 / 4.
4. Lifting Gear Examiner.
5. Winch Operator Training.
6. Overhead Gantry Crane Training.
7. CPCS Appointed Persons: Lifting Operations A61 (Red Card).
8. CPCS Appointed Persons: Lifting Operations A61 (Blue Card).
9. NSVQ Level 3 Rigger or Diploma ECITB Moving Engineering Construction Loads.
10. ECITB Appointed Persons Moving Loads Stage 3 / 4.
11. Permit Vision software training (ISSoW).
12. OPITO and IOSH Authorized Gas Tester - Levels 1, 2 & 3.
13. Previous experience in a similar role.
14. Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
